Cooperativa Cafetalera Capucas Limitada (Capucas) in Honduras decaffeinates its coffee beans in a unique and natural way. The beans are cleaned and moistened with local water, then an in-house developed Green Coffee Extract (GCE) method is used to remove the caffeine.
☕ Caffeine-free, but full of flavor
The GCE process balances the soluble compounds between the coffee bean and the extract, gradually removing caffeine through carbon filters . The 10-hour, carefully monitored process ensures that the coffee reaches 99.9% caffeine-freeness , while maintaining a rich flavor profile.
